- Smoother transitions from foot-strike thru toe-off due to improved carbon plate. Runner's will feel more nimble on technical downhills and smoother forefoot rocker going uphill in the Men's Tecton X 2
- Increased forefoot volume both vertically and horizontally. The first set of lacing eyelets have been moved towards the mid foot by 1/2 inch decreasing pinch points on widest part of the forefoot.

Named after the earth's tectonic plates the Men's Hoka Tecton X 2 has an innovative parallel carbon plate system that provides excellent responsiveness while maintaining grip on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe.
The 2nd edition of the Tecton introduces the Matryx® upper runners loved on the Hoka Speedgoat EVO giving it increased breathability while preventing trail debris from entering the shoe. Runner's who loved the original Men's Hoka Tecton X will find the cushioning, foot feel and responsiveness remain the same.
It is the most durable carbon plated trail runner we sell. Runners in Salida, Co have comfortably gotten 400 to 500 miles of use. Additionally, the responsiveness from the carbon plate is useful from 10k to 100 mile distances. If you're looking to PR without sacrificing cushion look no further than the Men's Hoka Tecton X 2.
